Abstract |
Purpose This study was designed to show the understanding and attitude of mental disease between nurse and the general public.
Methods The hypothetical model was developed based on the literature review. Data were collected by questionnaires from 280 the nurse and general public. Data analysis was done with SPSS/win 10.0 program for chi-square test.
Results About feeling when one encounters a person with mental illness and about neurosis, nurses and often professionally educated persons and more affirmative and think as a well curing than the general public.
Conclusion In the future, to overcome the bias of mental illness, the public needs to be continually and systematically educated with good scientific information that is accessible to the general public, this training should be based on the newest information. |
