Abstract |
The purpose of this study is to identify family function, and family type in boys high school students by smoking behavior. Self - reported questionnaires were collected from 256 boys high school students in Seoul, during May 1st to May 20th in 2000, and were analyzed by SAS Program for descriptive statistics, x2 -test and ANOVA.
The results are as follows: 'Connected -structured types' among 16types were the most common. In Accordance to FACE HI, there was a statistically significant difference in the family adaptability by the economic level, by the educational level of their parents, and by the amounts of daily smoking. Also, there was a statistically significant difference in the family cohesion by the economic level, by the educational level of their fathers, and by the amounts of daily smoking. In 'Extreme' case, the mean age of starting cigarette smoking was younger, the mean amounts of weekly cigarette smoking was m아e than in others.
Consequently. It is certain that family approach will be effective to develop program for smoking prevention or cessation. |
