Abstract |
Purpose The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between Psychological types of Enneagram and Type A/B Personality.
Methods The subject for this study were 226 college students in Kangnung City. the northeastern part of Korea. The data were collected from March 11 to March 24, 2002 by structured questionnaire. The instrument for this study were personality questionnaire by Baron & Wagele(1994) and the Revised Type A/B Personality by Eysenck & Fulker(1983) etc.
were used.
The data were analyzed through the SPSS 10.0 window program by were of frequency, percentage, x 2 -test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient
Results The results of the study are as follows:
1. The highest type of enneagram was type 7 and the next type was 9 and 2 orderly.
2. The triad of Enneagram was consisted of gut type 40.7%, head type 37.6%, and heart type 21.7% respectively 3. For Type A/B Personality, mixed type was most common. Subject of Type B were 12.3% and Type A was 4.1% respectively.
4. The statistically significant difference in the types of Enneagram according to sex( x 2
= 17.Ill, P<.029). perceived health status( x 2
-34.762, P<.004), and alchol consumption (F-2.079. P<,039).
Conclusion According to the above findings, it can be concluded that further research is need to identify more variables related to the types of Enneagram in Nursing. And we will have to further study the relationship between disease and type of enneagram. |
