This study purposed to examine, basic considerations needed to build a counselling system in cyber space, i.e.. a cyber counselling system. For this, the first thing was to conduct a needs analysis of college students in terms of their interests in counselling and the use of cyber counselling system. Based upon the analysis, this study suggested a basic cyber counselling system protocol which included several elements such as cyber counselling types, counselling categories, cyber counselling system access ways, and cyber counselor education program. FAQs, and related reading materials. Finally, this study briefly suggested some issues needed to accelerate the use of cyber counselling systems. This study concluded that the cyber counselling system would benefit not only the related college students and school staffs, but also benefit the community around the school, providing a concrete way of linking university and community. |
