Abstract |
Purpose This study was to examine the effects of therapeutic recreation on interpersonal relationships and quality of life in nursing students.
Methods A randomized controlled pre-post test design was used.
Subjects consisted of 63 nursing students residing in 2 nursing colleges in S city. The subjects participated in a 60 minute therapeutic recreation program for 10 sessions (10 week period). The collected data was analyzed by the SPSS/WIN 12.0 program that included a chi-square test and independent t-test.
Results This study showed that the interpersonal relationships and quality of life significantly increased after the therapeutic recreation.
Conclusion In conclusion, this therapeutic recreation was effective in improving interpersonal relationships and quality of life of nursing students. |
