Abstract |
Purpose This study was conducted to examine the factors related to the number of smoking cigarette per day in adult men.
Methods This was a descriptive correlation study. The subjects were 356 adult men. Data were analyzed a using of descriptive statistics, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and multiple regression with a SPSS PC+ 12.
Results The predictors of the number of smoking cigarette per day were depression, health state, stress, anxiety, economic state, duration for smoking, number of family members, self-esteem, and education. These factors explained 59.8% of the total variance.
Conclusion These findings suggest the need to develop nursing strategy to decrease the number of smoking cigarette in adult men. To decrease the number of smoking cigarette of adult men, the above major influencing factors should be considered. |
