Abstract
Purpose
The aim of this study is to analyze the published paper in Journal of Korean Academy of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from 1992 to 2006 and to suggest the trend of future psychiatric nursing research.
Methods
The 473 paper were selected and analyzed by focusing on research design, data collection method, participant type, measurement instrument, sampling method, statistics analyze method, and key word. Key words were compared with MeSH term.
Results
A number of the published papers were quantitative research and qualitative research design was increasing. The prevailing research designs were survey(51.6%). As to Quasiexperimental design. Nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design was most frequent used(l 1.8%). Most of the subject were Psychiatric patients(17.2%). The prevailing statistics of analysis were t-test(54.9%). The prevailing key words of MeSH was ‘depression’(14.7%) ‘self conccpt'(12.1%), ‘mental health’(0,5%), and 'students' (9.1%) in order.
Conclusion
The quality of academic journal can reflect lhe status of the academic, therefore, researchers should effort for the development of the academic journal. In addition, the psychiatric nursing research protecting the participants should be conducted.
