Experiences of Sublimimg off the Bereaved Family Due to Suicide

Abstract
Purpose
this study was aimed at reviewing and analyzing the experiences of the bereaved families due to suicide of one of their members as well as their bereavement processes and thereby, exploring some effective nursing interventions in them.
Methods
Strauss and Corbin's (1998) basic theory approach was applied, while the data were collected through an in-depth interview. A total of 10 bereaved families due to suicide were sampled finally. The data were collected from June, 2003 through August, 2004 to be analyzed as soon as collected,
Results
in the process of data analysis, 117 concepts with 30 sub-categories and 18 categories were identified. Findings: ‘Pain’ was the usual phenomena, 'subliming’ is core category, integrating the thirty categories: 'Denial of suicide 5 , 'Exploration of suicide’,"Sense of guilt,’ 'Acceptance of suicide 9 , 'Stigma of suicide 5 , 'Relativity’, ‘Supports,,‘Perseverance’,‘Hope’,'Faithful to the present 5 , c Living together 5 , ‘Access to God’, 'Awareness of self-value 5 , "Awareness of family value 'Searching for hope’, 'Realization of love’.
Conclusion
this study surveyed and analyzed various complex and disturbing conditions facing the suicide-bereaved families to have a better understanding of their psychological pain, and thereby, suggested the ways to apply the bereavement management model to the nursing services for the suicide-bereaved families.
