The collected data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient with SPSS WIN 10.0 program.
Results The stressful life events of middle aged women indicated a significantly positive correlation to mental health(r=.443, p<.01). And the general characteristics that showed a significant difference for the mental health were education(F=3.80, p<.05), marital status(F=4.54, p<.01), living arrangement (F=2.85, p<.05), family income(F=3.14, p<.05), number of child(F=3.07, p<,05), marital satisfaction(F=l3.23, p<.001).
Conclusion These results suggested that stress in life for middle aged women is closely connected with mental health. So it is desirable to help middle aged women cope with their stress constructively through special counselling and training in improving human relations. |
