Abstract |
Purpose To evaluate the effects of the traditional behavioral-cognitive reflection program which was designed to promote the insight for the patients who have alcohol dependence.
Methods The data were collected from 21 patients who participated in the program over 2 months(PG) and 22 for non-participants group(NPG). The interventional program was consisted with daily learning about the behavioral regulation and weekly session for evaluation and feedback. The data were analyzed using x2 -test and t-test etc.
Finding: There were significant differences on the total insight score and 5 sub-domains between two groups. Thirty-eight percent of participants attain the good insight level after the proram. And behavioral reflection score was correlated with the insight score(r=.306).
Conclusion The intervention can be recommended to be a effective therapeutic program for the clients with alcohol dependence. More efforts should be put into strengthening the program through the research. |
