Abstract |
Purpose The purpose of this study was to analyse the factors affecting on high school students' alcohol use among general characteristics, family factors, peer factors, and alcohol-related knowledge and attitude.
Methods We surveyed the high school students(569) from all high schools at S-gu in Seoul, based on the self-reported questionnaires in November 2002. And the data that answered two both questions about drinking and smoke status were analyzed by the SPSS for Windows 10.0 with multiple regression.
Results Current smoking behavior, parents)* drinking, having friend(s) who drink influenced alcohol use of high school students. And higher the level of knowledge and negative attitude related with drinking is, higher is the possibility of current drinker
Conclusions If drinking prevention programs for high school students are individualized and try to change the knowledge and attitude on drinking, the programs can change the drinking behavior finally. |
