| Abstract |
|
This study was designed to determine the effects of community based mental health rehabilitation program on perceived family support of mentally ill patients.
Quasi experimental design, single group repeated measure was used to carry out the research.
The subjects were consisted of 26 chronic men tally ill patients who lived with their fanniy members in the community and participated in com munity based mental health rehabilitation program of Seungbuk Public Health Center.
The instruments used for this study was 20 items of family support scale, which was developed by Ji Won Park (1985)and revised by researchers to 5 likert type scale.
The data were gathered from August 1. 1996 to February 28. 1998, and analyzed using paired t-t.est and one way ANOVA with SPSS PC.
The results of this study were as follows.
The hypothesis 1 'There wiil be a difference in the score of perceived family support between before and after the first six months.* the hypothesis 2• be tween before and after the second six months), the hypothesis 3(after the first six months and after the second six months), the hypothesis 5(betweenafter -
the first six months and after the third six monthsJ, and the hypothesis 6(between after the second six months and after the third six months), participating in community based mental health re habilitation program were all rejected.
The hypothesis 4 'There will be a difference in the score of perceived family support between before and after the third six months,' participating in com munity based mental health renabilitation program v/ere supported. |
