Study on the Older Women’s Inner Strength

Abstract
As people in our society live longer, affirming the quality of their living experience becomes more important. The purpose of this study was to ascertain and analyze the meaning of “inner strength" as revealed from the stories of older women. The methodology utilized was the Heideggerian hermeneutical approach. The sample consisted of 3 women over the age of 65. Their ages were 65, 85 and 86. The data was collected by interview in a natural setting in thier home and office. The tape re corder was used to receive an account of their story during a 1 month. The Researcher analyzed the transcripts. Findings consisted of three patterns : “surviving,” “finding inner strength, ” and **an established philosophy of life.
