A Study on the Family’s Caregiving Experience in the Dementia

Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore and describe the experience of family's caregiver in the dementia. Two participants were persons who were caring and living with dementia patients. They were asked open-ended questions in order for them to talk their experience in their own terms. Interviews were tape - recorded and transcribed. The tran scripts were analyzed by Colaizzi method. Major themes that were emerged from the analysis are “isolation,” “burden,” “guilt,” “fatigue,” “adjust,” “spirituality,” “maturation,” and “seeking information.
